Our four veterinarians are members of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.

Ashley Veine-Smith, DVM

Ashley Veine-Smith, DVM

Dr. Ashley Veine has been with Community Animal Clinic since 2010. She is originally from Manistee, Michigan and completed her undergraduate training and a Master’s Degree at Northern Michigan University. She then headed to Iowa to earn her DVM at Iowa State University. That’s where she met her husband, Jeremy. After school, she migrated this way for work. She treats small animals and exotics, with a special interest in orthopedic surgery. Her children are Paxton and Quinn, who are very busy with their own activities, but she is passionate about riding western pleasure on her quarter horse, Beau. She also enjoys taking care of her other pets including the rabbit Honey Bun and several aquariums.

Tracy White, DVM

Tracy White, DVM

Dr. Tracy White dreamed of becoming a veterinarian from childhood because of her love of helping animals. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2001 with her veterinary degree. After graduation, she returned home and enjoyed working at a mixed animal practice before becoming a full time small animal veterinarian. Dr. White has been with Community Animal Clinic since the fall of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse, reading, and spending time with her family. 

Michael Sandy, DVM

Michael Sandy, DVM

Dr. Sandy graduated from Fairmont State College with A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 1994. He then went on to the University of Georgia where he obtained his DVM in 2000. He became owner of Community Animal Clinic in 2005 and continues to work there after selling the practice to Dr. Veine-Smith in February 2025. He is married to the former co-owner and current veterinarian at Community Animal Clinic, Dr. Jennifer Sandy and has three children, Jessica, Jennifer, and Michael. He has four pets; 2 dogs (Hank and Odie) and 2 cats (TK and Mina). When he is not working, he enjoys bicycling, bourbon, and football. Go Dawgs!! Special interests: Soft Tissue Surgery

Jennifer Sandy, DVM

Jennifer Sandy, DVM

Dr. Sandy graduated from Fairmont State College in 1993 with an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology. She then graduated from the University of Georgia with a DVM in 1999. She started Community Animal Clinic in 2005. In her free time she enjoys being a mom, bicycling and cooking.

Baliey Guilliams, Veterinary Assistant/Training Technician

Baliey studied at Eastern Gateway Community College for the Veterinary Technician program. She completed her externship here before beginning her career here in December 2024! She is happily married and currently shares her home with a variety of “critters” including her 4 cats( Norman, Poppy, Faith and Runa), 2 lion head bunnies (Grizzly and Polar Bear), 3 dogs, two german shepherds (Jack and Willa) and her pit bull/cattle mix (Peaches), her hamster (bunni), and one guinea pig, (Apricot)! Her hobbies include, anything outdoors, reading, and taking her furry friends on adventures!

“Red” is currently studying to become a certified veterinary technician through Penn Foster College. She started at Community Animal Clinic in March, 2024 after completing her externship here. She has three fluffy Siberian Huskies, Mina, Maya, and Mika, and a Dachshund-mix named Wolfy! She has 3 cats, Stella, Scotty, and her house panther Jörmungandr. Her hobbies include playing guitar, playing video games, going to concerts, shopping, spending quality time with her boyfriend, Seth, and studying to follow her dream of becoming a RVT!

Rylee Brown, Veterinary Assistant

Rylee Brown, Kennel/Veterinary Assistant

Rylee started working at Community Animal Clinic in 2024 after shadowing here for her technician program! She is currently in high school while studying in the Veterinary Technician program at Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, which she will be graduating from in 2026 and furthering her career as a veterinary technician at Hocking College. Rylee enjoys spending time with her bearded dragon, Jello, playing softball and volleyball, and doing anything outdoors!

Gabriella Forde, Veterinary Receptionist/ Training Technician

Gabriella graduated at Eastern Gateway Community College for the Veterinary Technician program in 2024. She completed her externship here before furthering her career here in 2025. She has two dogs, a golden doodle, Buttercup and a black and white husky, Odin who she shares with her boyfriend, Kyle. Her two dogs who she loves so much are her whole life. She is very outgoing and passionate about being in the veterinary field. She is a team player, hard working, and will do anything to help out her co-workers. In her free time when she’s not working, she loves to shop, hangout with her family and friends, go to concerts, do anything outdoors, swim in the summer, and watching football. Go Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes!

Makayla Reed, Veterinary Assistant/Training Technician

Makayla Reed, Veterinary Assistant/Training Technician

Makayla just recently started working with us at the end of May 2025. She graduated from Western Beaver High School in 2022 where she was also enrolled in the Beaver County Career and Technology Center’s Veterinary Assistant program. When she is not working, she is taking care of her grandmother and spending time with friends and her boyfriend, Nick. Together, they enjoy hanging out with their cats, Aries, Andre, and Lucy. She also likes to do anything outdoors including fishing, shooting guns at the range, and even just relaxing outside and reading. She plans on continuing her education to become a registered veterinary technician!

Kelli Zachodni, Veterinary Assistant

Kelli Zachodni, Veterinary Assistant

Kelli is one of our part time technicians that also joined our team in 2025. She began her career working at the Beaver County Humane Society where she worked for over 8 years building her knowledge through hands on experience and help from her mentors. After taking a small hiatus she has returned to the veterinary community. Kelli also works as a luxury event florist in the city. She enjoys downtime with her husband, Zachary, son, Evan, and four dogs (Fred, Stella, Cowboy, Atlas), two cats (June and Tessa), horse (Wrangler) and African spurred tortoise (Cecil). Her hobbies include crocheting and taking her son to compete in Junior Rodeo’s for bull riding, and boy’s calf tying.

Carol Blake, Veterinary Receptionist

Carol joined our team here July 2024. She is happily married and currently shares her home with her two dogs, Frankie her Goldendoodle, and Gracie her shihzu mix. Additionally, two cats who she calls, Mama and, Baby. When she’s not working she enjoys sitting on her porch and being by the campfire with family and friends.

Tracy Bone, Veterinary Assistant

Tracy has been working as a technician for 28 years and employed with Community Animal Clinic for almost 2 years now. She is married to her wonderful husband, Orien Bone, and has 5 beautiful children Breanna, Gage, Orien Jr., Layne, and Cayden. Her furry babies are two dogs named Lucky and Bitsy. Being with her family is her biggest pleasure. Her hobbies are kayaking, camping, and traveling.

Terri Allison, Veterinary Receptionist

Terri started working at as a receptionist at Community Animal Clinic in June of 2021. She is happily married and shares her home with one dog, Moose (Pit mix) and her kitty friend, Gunther. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time on the beach, gazing at the stars and moon, kayaking, hiking, and boating on the water!

Sandy Kerr, Veterinary Receptionist

Sandy Kerr, Veterinary Receptionist

Sandy joined our team on June 4th 2022. She started off as a technician before moving to reception! She has three horses named Phoenix (Arabian), Misty (Quarter Horse), and her German shepherd, Lily. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys doing crafts, reading, riding her beloved horses, and going to horse shows!
